Social Value

Social Value & Community Impact

Supporting local people, strengthening communities, and creating long-term positive outcomes across the North West.

Our Approach to Social Value

At PDP Property Services Ltd, social value is about making a practical contribution to the communities in which we live and work.

As a Lancashire-based business, we support local employment, invest in apprenticeships and training, and use local suppliers and subcontractors wherever practical.

Through our work with local authorities, education, emergency services and other public-sector organisations, we look for opportunities to create wider benefits beyond the work we deliver.

For PDP, social value is about supporting local people, investing in skills and contributing to the communities around us.

How We Deliver Social Value

01

Local Employment & Skills

We are committed to supporting local employment and developing our workforce. We provide opportunities for people to gain practical experience, develop their skills and achieve relevant training and qualifications.

Through apprenticeships, on-the-job training and continued development, we help our employees build long-term skills across construction, building maintenance, joinery and painting and decorating.

Where possible, we recruit locally, helping to retain skills and employment within Lancashire and the wider North West.

02

Apprenticeships & Training

PDP has a long history of supporting apprentices and helping people develop a career within the construction industry.

We provide opportunities to gain recognised qualifications alongside practical, on-site experience, helping apprentices develop the skills and knowledge needed to progress within their chosen trade.

We also invest in the ongoing training and development of our existing workforce, ensuring our employees continue to develop their skills and maintain the training required for the work they undertake.

03

Supporting Local Supply Chains

Where possible, we use local suppliers, approved subcontractors and hire companies across Lancashire and the North West, helping to keep our supply chain close to the areas in which we work.

Sourcing locally helps us support local businesses, reduce unnecessary travel and respond quickly to both planned and reactive works. It also allows us to build strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and subcontractors we know and trust.

By keeping our supply chain local wherever practical, we help retain investment within the region while maintaining a reliable and responsive service for our client

04

Fairness, Inclusion & Opportunity

At PDP, we are committed to providing a fair, respectful and supportive working environment where everyone is treated properly and given the opportunity to develop.

We provide equal opportunities in recruitment, training and progression and expect the same standards of behaviour from our employees and subcontractors.

Discrimination, bullying, harassment or inappropriate behaviour is not accepted, whether within our workplace, on site or when dealing with clients and members of the public.

Community Support & Sponsorship

At PDP Property Services Ltd, we believe in giving something back to the communities in which we live and work.

We support and sponsor local sports clubs, community organisations and local initiatives that provide opportunities for people of all ages and help encourage participation, teamwork and wellbeing.

Our support can include sponsorship, practical assistance and involvement with local organisations, helping them continue the work they do within their communities.

As a Lancashire-based business, we feel it is important that our contribution goes beyond the projects we deliver. Where possible, we aim to build long-term relationships with the organisations we support and make a positive contribution to the local area.

Supporting our communities forms an important part of PDP's wider social value commitment, alongside local employment, apprenticeships, training and the use of local suppliers.

OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS

At PDP Property Services Ltd, we are proud to support local sports clubs, community organisations and individuals across Lancashire.

Our sponsorships form part of our wider commitment to supporting the communities in which we live and work, encouraging participation in sport and helping local clubs continue to provide opportunities for people of all ages.

VALE OF LUNE RUGBY CLUB

We are proud to support Vale of Lune Rugby Club, a well-established local club that plays an important role within the Lancaster community.

Our sponsorship helps support the club and the opportunities it provides for players, members and the wider community to get involved in rugby and local sport.

ASTLEY & BUCKSHAW U10s FOOTBALL CLUB

PDP is pleased to support Astley & Buckshaw U10s Football Club, helping to encourage young people to get involved in grassroots football.

The club provides a positive environment for young players to develop their football skills, confidence and teamwork, while enjoying being part of a local team.

WARTON CRICKET CLUB

We are proud to support Warton Cricket Club for the 2026 season, including player and match ball sponsorship.

Our sponsorship helps contribute towards the continued running of the club and supports the opportunities it provides for players and the local community to participate in and enjoy local cricket.

SUPPORTING OUR OWN PEOPLE

Our commitment to supporting people also extends to our own workforce.

PDP currently sponsors one of our employees in his football career, helping him pursue his sporting ambitions alongside his employment with the company.

We believe it is important to support the interests and development of our employees both inside and outside of the workplace, and we are proud to be able to support one of our own in his sporting career.

Through these partnerships and sponsorships, PDP aims to make a practical contribution to local sport and the communities around us, alongside the local employment, training, apprenticeships and supply-chain opportunities we provide through our day-to-day work.

Our Commitment

We are committed to continuing our support for local clubs, teams and community organisations and aim to grow our involvement as PDP continues to develop.

We look for opportunities where our support can make a genuine difference locally, whether through sponsorship, practical support or helping organisations within the communities where we live and work.

If your club or community organisation is looking for sponsorship or support, we would be happy to hear from you. Please get in touch with our team to tell us a little more about your organisation and how we may be able to help.

Measured Social Value Performance

We believe social value should be demonstrated through what we actually do, not just what we promise.

We monitor our contribution across areas including local employment, apprenticeships and training, use of local suppliers, sustainability and community sponsorship.

This helps us understand the wider impact of our work and provides our clients with clear evidence of the social value delivered through our projects and frameworks.
