Sustainability & Environmental Responsibility
Reducing Environmental Impact Across Every Project
Our Environmental Commitment
PDP Property Services Ltd is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our building, refurbishment and maintenance works.
We focus on practical measures including responsible waste management, improving the energy efficiency of existing buildings, reducing unnecessary travel and making responsible choices when sourcing materials.
We regularly review how we work and look for practical ways to reduce waste, improve efficiency and minimise our environmental impact.
1.
Waste Management & Recycling

We take a responsible approach to waste management across our projects.
Where possible, waste is segregated at source, including timber, metal, plastics and general construction waste, allowing materials to be recycled wherever suitable facilities are available.
Waste is removed using appropriately licensed waste carriers, with the relevant documentation maintained where required.
By planning works carefully and avoiding unnecessary waste, we aim to reduce the amount of material sent to landfill and improve recycling across our projects.
2.
Energy Efficiency in Buildings

As part of our building and refurbishment works, PDP carries out improvements designed to increase energy efficiency and improve the overall performance of existing buildings.
Our works include thermal and acoustic insulation, upgrades to walls and ceilings, and general building fabric improvements.
These improvements can help reduce heat loss, improve sound insulation and create more comfortable working and living environments, while extending the useful life of existing properties.
3.
Low-Impact Working Practices

We plan our works with consideration for their environmental impact.
This includes efficient job scheduling, reducing unnecessary site visits and planning travel between locations. Our tracked company vehicles also help us monitor journeys and improve route planning.
Tools and equipment are maintained to keep them operating efficiently, and where practical we source materials and services locally, helping to reduce unnecessary transportation.
4.
Responsible Material Choices

Where practical, we select materials based on quality, durability, suitability and responsible sourcing.
We consider the expected lifespan of products as well as their environmental impact, helping us avoid unnecessary replacement and reduce waste over the life of the building.
We also work with established suppliers and look for responsibly sourced or certified materials where appropriate
5.
Repair & Reuse
As a maintenance and refurbishment contractor, we look to repair and improve existing buildings wherever practical, rather than automatically replacing materials or components.
From joinery repairs and building fabric improvements to refurbishment and planned maintenance, our work helps extend the usable life of existing buildings and reduce unnecessary waste.
Where materials or components can be safely retained, repaired or reused, we consider this as part of our approach before replacement.
